I was just doodling adopt ideas and it suddenly became an original species.
coloring these are so calming omg
Keeplings are a CLOSED species for now. Please, do not make your own. Once I finish fleshing out their design I may offer customs or make a few sets.
-Keeplings harvest the memories of living beings, but are unable to harvest memories of other Keeplings. These memories act as their source of nutrition.
-The more memories a Keepling is able to harvest, the stronger they will be and the longer they will live.
-When a Keepling uses up the energy gathered from the memories, their markings begin to dull and fade. If a Keepling goes too long without harvesting a memory, they will die.
-Keeplings' arms are manifestations of the energy gathered from the harvested memories. The substance is gelatin-like, but incredibly dense.
-Keeplings' skin colors are limited to varying shades of black, grey, and white. Their markings and hair can be any color or pattern.
-Keeplings tend to have four horns located on their head, but are known to have either more or less.
-Keeplings are very family oriented creatures, and will choose one mate for life. However, they are also very territorial creatures, and often brawl with other Keeplings.
-Keeplings' arms are used for brawling, climbing, and running.
-Male Keeplings tend to have lighter skin, and females tend to have darker.
-Keeplings do wearing clothing occasionally, but I wanted to show you the typical placement of their markings.
If you have any questions, I would be more than happy to answer them! If people show quite a bit of interest in these, I'll make a male reference and do a back view.
This Keepling is mine! I haven't named her yet, so I would love to hear some suggestions.
